Do you always contradict like this? You can't compare Claremont, Whedon, and Morrison's X-men (as if you refuse to give CC his proper due) as they are all classics for their generation (Morrison's run is forgotten...), but you claim that Slott and Bendis are better than anybody but Stan? Like many people have guessed, you obviously have not read a lot of Spider-Man.

I was asked to pick which one was my favorite. I’m sorry that my answer wasn’t the same as yours or an answer that you personally approve of, but that’s what makes comics or any part of the entertainment world subjective, different strokes, right? I’m happy that Claremont’s run was your favorite, I happen to love all three equally for different reasons. Still no reason for vitriol, we all love the medium and the characters.

My dad bought me my first Spider-Man comic in 1970 and there was no turning back, I was a Marvel kid. And yes, there have been many great Spidey stories in the past, Kraven’s Last Hunt comes immediately to mind and stories by brilliant creators such as Gerry Conway, but my personal opinion with respect to impact on the character over a long period of time, Bendis and Slott’s runs have been as impactful as anyone’s with the exception of Stan’s. If you personally don’t feel that way, that’s cool, but it doesn’t make my opinion any less valid than yours or anyone else who may be reading this post.
