Sorry to do this, Tom, Magdalene + Swordsman didn't go to their "home reality", they went to find a new reality to call their home. For starters, the two were not from the same reality, the whole of the Gatherers were pulled together from various different realities. Secondly, their realities were each destroyed by Proctor, hence why they couldn't just "go home" to begin with. I know this is a 20 year old story, but you're authority on these things, does it hurt to look things up?
